Who we are
Making period products and menstrual education accessible for everyone.
Period Matters originally began life as The Homeless Period Wolverhampton launched in January 2018 by our founder Clare Roberts-Molloy, and becoming a registered charity in 2019.
Initially focusing on women experiencing homelessness, we soon realised the extent of period poverty being experienced by women and girls across Wolverhampton and extended our services to support anyone in need. The rest as they say is history!
Since we launched, our team of amazing volunteers has steadily grown and we have gained the support of many organisations and partners across the city. Our Board of trustees is dedicated to collecting and distributing menstrual products to women and girls who are experiencing period poverty in the city and making a real difference in Wolverhampton.
Our new Periods Matter brand demonstrates the breadth of work we now undertake and our wider menstrual activism to reduce period poverty, not only in Wolverhampton, but across the Black Country and as part of a wider national network of period poverty organisations.
